Paul Ruxin Award

This annual award in the form of a $1,000 scholarship highlights outstanding work by a Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center Children and Teen Program employee.

This award was created by the Ruxin Family and the Trevor TCR non-profit to honor the late Paul Ruxin, who was valued and loved by his family and community. 

The purpose of this award is to help staff members be at their best, so they can do their most rewarding work. The award can be used for continuing education tuition, professional development, or personal development.

Details:

  • Any current Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center Children and Teen Program employee in good standing who has made a meaningful impact in the past 12 months is eligible for this award.

  • Nominations may be made by Pomeroy Center employees or client families.

  • Nominations may be submitted for more than one employee.

  • Pomeroy Center management is eligible to submit nominations.

  • Employees may not nominate themselves.

  • A panel of judges comprised of business and community leaders, philanthropists, and non-profit professionals will evaluate the nominations.

  • The award may be used for continuing education tuition, professional development, or personal development of the recipient’s choice and with the judges’ consent.
